Jon Bolton, Director of Focused on Learning Ltd.
Brief
Jon approached me with a requirement for a new website, to replace his company's existing web page. The site was to include 2 blogs, as well as several 'static' pages and was to incorporate items such as his company Twitter feed and an RSS feed from one of the blog pages.
Jon required the site to be iPad and iPod compatible, as well as providing alternative styling options for visually impaired users.
Description
I worked closely with Jon throughout the project to ensure that the finished result was something we could both be proud of. I created a page template and navigation structure which enables the site to be easily updated (Jon manages many of his own text and image updates) and offer room for expansion should it be necessary.
I developed a bespoke content management system for Jon's blogs which enables him to add and edit his blog posts from any PC. The News & Updates blog page powers the site's RSS feed, enabling users to sign up for automatic updates.
The site is built in HTML 5 and CSS 3 (the very latest markup and styling languages), and also includes dedicated styling for iPads and iPhones/iPods (as well as other small screen devices such as Blackberrys) to ensure that users get the best experience no matter what platform they're using.
